Say it again – #ENDAisNOTequal
The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) does NOT ban discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in housing, education, public accommodations, federally funded programs, or credit.
ENDA has a sweeping religious exemption that will allow as many as 200,000 religiously affiliated employers to fire or refuse to hire lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
It’s time for a comprehensive civil rights law that will give lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people the same rights and protections that every other American has. Nothing more, nothing less than equal under the law.
