Which side of your mouth should we listen to, Congresswoman Pelosi?

Nancy Pelosi says “Discrimination has no place in our nation – not in our workplaces, not in our society, and not in our government,” but she supports the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which only bars employment discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people.

Nancy Pelosi says “And, we too must be relentless in those efforts to ensure the fundamental rights of all people, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, creed, or background,” but she supports ENDA’s sweeping religious exemption that would let nearly 200,000 employers discriminate against LGBT people. 

Nancy Pelosi supports “comprehensive women’s health care planning” and “comprehensive immigration reform,” but said ENDA is "not the 100 percent bill that we would like” and “Not what we want, but what we could get passed.”
